Writing Your Own Life Stories

In this workshop you will learn how to explore your life through writing.

By showing examples from my books, I will guide you how to reflect on your life changes, feelings, and experiences and then encourage you to find your own voice in the writing.

We will talk about various forms of personal writing such as journal keeping, diary entries, or non—fiction short stories.

Then we will discuss the importance of turning points, surprises, contradictions, dramatic effects, and details in your writing.

Place: High River Library

Time: 6 Tuesdays: April 5 and 19, May 3, 17, and 31, June 7; 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm 6 classes (every two weeks)

Cost: $75

 Creating Collages Expressing I Ching

During this course we will be immersing ourselves in contemplation on the meanings of I Ching – Book of Change.

It is the greatest Chinese classic ever written and became the foundation of both the Taoist and Confucian philosophies. The I Ching contains sixty-four hexagrams, which represent every possible human situation.

These include overcoming difficulties, breaking bad habits, experiencing meditative states, making decisions, experiencing powerful emotions, and being creative.

To acquire a better understanding of hexagrams, we will be creating collages by applying a variety of media such as fabrics, magazine pictures, old photos, ribbons, paper napkins, stamps, and many others.

Place: High River Library

Time: Evening classes: 6:30 - 8:30 pm 8 Thursdays - April 7, 14, 21, 28, May 5, 12, 19, 26;

Cost: $ 100.00

The Exhibition "Patterns of Nature"

Posted by krystyna on September 23, 2013 at 6:20 PM Comments comments (0)

I would like to invite everybody for my new show "Patterns of Nature" at the ArtPoint Gallery, Calgary.

I present there twenty oil paintings and ten pastels

which I created during my sleepless nights when I had suffered an enormous pain in my joints.

My artistic activities became a great way of healing, calming, relaxing my body and mind.

Immersed in these activities, my mind wandered to the

places where I had felt happy and joyful and then I was able to forget about the discomfort  in my body.
